At Sangeeta Sweet, we spend most of our day behind the counter over at Pimpri Dhayari Phata 7. It’s a decent spot, right where people are waiting for their buses or walking to the market. We have the usual glass displays filled with different colors of sweets, and we try to keep everything looking neat even when it's busy. The morning is usually quiet, giving us time to get the frying done and the syrups ready. By afternoon, the kids coming home from school start stopping in for a little something. It gets a bit sticky on the counters sometimes, but we try to wipe them down as much as we can. We don't have a big staff, just family and a couple of helpers who know the routine. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but you can see what's available. We don't do anything too fancy, just the standard recipes that people expect when they come to a place like this. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that's just the business. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a bit while they wait for their order to be packed. We’ve got a small fridge for the cold drinks too. It’s just a simple shop near the phata, nothing more to it than that. We usually shut the doors once the evening rush has finally slowed down and the trays are mostly empty for the day.
