Sahil Pure Veg Restaurant

Sahil Pure Veg Restaurant is our little spot over in the Market Yard area of Pune. Specifically, we are at A 101 Hans Sarowar, which is tucked behind the Shivaji Statue. If you know Market Yard, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. There’s always trucks coming in and people moving crates of vegetables and fruit. We decided to set up here because there are so many workers and shoppers who need a place to grab a vegetarian meal. Being behind the statue makes it a bit quieter than the main road, but not by much. We’ve been at this Hans Sarowar location for a while now. It’s not a fancy setup with a lot of decorations or anything. We just have the basic tables and chairs and we keep things clean. My family and I handle most of the work ourselves. We aren't some big chain; we’re just a local business in the 411037 zip code area. We get a lot of regular customers who work in the market, so we know many of them by name. It’s a lot of hard work, starting early in the morning when the market opens, but it’s what we do. We don't talk much about visions or missions, we just make sure there is hot food ready for whoever comes in. If you are ever near the Shivaji Statue in the yard, come find us. We'll be here doing our daily chores and serving the market crowd.
