Sachin Snacks

You can find us right near the Police Workshop at Parihar Chowk in Aundh. J M Road is always packed with cars and people going to work. We have a small spot where we make snacks all day. It’s called Sachin Snacks, named after my cousin. We don't have a lot of space, just enough for the stove and a place for people to stand. A lot of the police officers from the workshop stop by for their tea breaks. We also see many students who are looking for something cheap to eat. It gets very hot behind the counter, especially when we are frying things. We don't have an air conditioner, just a small table fan that doesn't do much. The menu is quite short. We just make what people ask for most often. Sometimes we run out of batter before the day is over. We try to keep things organized, but when twenty people show up at once, it gets a bit chaotic. The pavement outside is usually full of people standing around and talking. It’s a noisy part of town, but we like the energy. We’ve been in Aundh for several years now. It’s a simple life, just making food and cleaning up at the end of the night. It's nothing fancy. Just a local snack shop for whoever happens to be passing by.
