Ratan Raviraj Sweet

Our shop is right on Pimple Gurav 2nd Main Road, which is a busy place for Ratan Raviraj Sweet. We spend our mornings in the back area, getting the big pots of milk and sugar going on the stoves. It gets very hot and humid back there, but that is the only way to get the sweets done right. We spend a lot of time arranging the trays in the glass cases so they look okay for the customers. It is not a fancy boutique or a big chain, just a local shop where people come when they need something for a family event or just a treat. The 2nd Main Road is always full of people going to work or finishing their errands, so we see a lot of people coming in and out. We have a couple of benches for people to sit, but most just take their boxes and leave. The floor usually gets a bit sticky by the afternoon from all the sugar and syrups we use, so we have to stay on top of the cleaning. We have been in Pimple Gurav for a long time now and we have watched the shops around us change many times. We just keep doing what we know how to do. There is no big secret to the business, just showing up early and staying until the last tray is covered up at night. It is a lot of heavy work.
