Ramdev Sweet Home

We've been here at Kalewadi Kazi Syed Street 2 for quite some time now. Every morning starts the same way with the smell of milk boiling and sugar being stirred in big pots. It gets pretty hot in the back, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon. People from around the neighborhood stop by, mostly regulars who know exactly what they want without looking at the trays. We don't have anything fancy, just the usual stuff people like to take home for their families after work. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and the floor gets sticky, but that’s just how a sweet shop is. My father started this and now I spend most of my day here making sure the boxes are stacked right. We try to keep things fresh, so we don't make huge batches of everything at once. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with the heat from the stove. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people walking past, but inside it's mostly just the sound of the fans. It’s a simple life, honestly. We open early and stay until the trays are mostly empty. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by evening and people get a little annoyed, but that's part of it. We just do what we can every day. I usually end the night sweeping up the crumbs and getting the orders ready for tomorrow.
