Our place is tucked away in the Bhosarigoan A Sector, right there on the 8th Cross. If you know the Raghavendra Swamy Temple Road, you won’t have a hard time finding us. It’s a busy corner of Phase III, especially when there is a big function going on. We spend most of our days moving chairs around and making sure the floor is swept for the next group that comes in. It’s a large space, but it feels smaller when a whole family shows up with all their cousins and kids running everywhere. We’ve seen a lot of different events here over the years, from small gatherings to bigger celebrations that last all day. My brother and I usually handle the bookings and talk to the people who want to use the hall. We don’t use any fancy booking systems, just a big notebook where we write everything down. The building is older now, but it holds up well enough. We keep the fans running when it’s hot, and we try to keep the noise from bothering the neighbors too much. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets a bit much, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. People like being near the temple anyway. We just keep things running as best as we can, day after day. It’s a lot of work to manage the cleaning and the lights, but it’s what we do.
