Raka Mandap Decoraters

We are over in Bibwewadi, mostly working out of our space in the 411037 area. Raka Mandap Decoraters has been setting up tents and stages for a long time. It’s hard work, moving heavy poles and folding up huge pieces of fabric every single day. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Usually, you’ll find us out on a site somewhere, hammering things into the ground or trying to get the lights to look right before the sun goes down. People in the neighborhood just drop by when they have a wedding or a small puja at home. We have all the usual stuff like chairs, tables, and the mandap setups. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our clothes usually end up pretty dusty by the end of the shift. We know the roads around here well because our trucks are always moving back and forth. It’s not always perfect, sometimes a truck gets stuck in traffic or a pipe is slightly bent, but we fix it. We just try to make sure the space looks decent for whatever party is happening. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the city, just a local team that helps out when a neighbor needs a stage built. That’s pretty much our life here in Bibwewadi day in and day out.
