Puskkar Sweets

Puskkar Sweets is our little shop located in Kalyani Nagar, specifically near the Athwa Gates at number 121. We have been here for a good while, and most of the people who live in the apartments nearby know my face. The shop isn't very large, so the smell of the sugar and the milk usually fills up the whole street outside. I spend a lot of time in the back where we keep the big stoves and the heavy pans. Kalyani Nagar is a bit more modern than other parts of town, but our shop 121 still feels like an old-fashioned place. We don’t use any big machines; most of the work is done by hand, which is why my back hurts at the end of the day. Athwa Gates is a busy intersection, so there is always the sound of traffic in the background while we are packing boxes. We have a small glass display case that is always a bit foggy from the fridge, and I have to wipe it down constantly. It’s just me and two other guys working here, trying to keep everything fresh and ready. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the sign above the door that says Puskkar Sweets. It’s hard work, especially during the festival months when we stay up late to finish the orders, but it’s what we do. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people.
