Punyai Sabhagruh

We are located over in Kothrud, in the Amarjyothi Layout area. Punyai Sabhagruh is basically just a hall where people in the neighborhood get together for various things. We see a lot of weddings, some naming ceremonies, and the occasional local meeting. It gets quite busy on the weekends, but during the week, it’s usually pretty quiet. We have a stage and plenty of chairs, but we don't do anything too fancy. The parking can be a bit of a headache when there’s a big crowd, but people usually find a spot nearby. We’ve been in this part of Kothrud for a long time. Most people around here know exactly where we are. We try our best to keep the floors swept and the lights in working order. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a bit of noise, but they do the job of keeping the air moving. It’s a practical space for family functions without a lot of fuss. We don't do the decorations ourselves. Usually, the families bring in their own people to set things up. We just provide the roof and the space to gather. The kitchen area is basic, but it works for the caterers who come in. We’ve watched many families grow up over the years, coming back for different events. It’s nice to be a small part of the community like that. Kothrud has changed a lot, but we are still right here at 127/1 doing our thing.
