Pune Cement Dealers Association

We’ve been here in Dhanori for quite a bit now. Our office is on E Moses Road, right in the 411015 zip code area. It’s not a big fancy headquarters or anything like that. Basically, it’s a spot where the cement dealers from around Pune come to talk shop. There are about five or six chairs around a wooden table that’s seen better days. We get together to discuss things like how much the bags are costing this month or if the trucks are having trouble getting through the city traffic. Someone usually has a kettle going for tea. It’s a way to stay connected because running a supply business can get lonely if you’re just sitting in your own yard all day. We don’t do much in the way of advertising. Most people know we’re here just by word of mouth. The walls have some old calendars and charts pinned up. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the construction happening nearby in Dhanori, but that’s just part of the job. We aren’t trying to change things, just trying to make sure the guys selling cement have a place to vent their frustrations or share some advice. If a new person starts a dealership, they usually find their way here eventually. It is just a practical thing for us. We have seen Pune grow so much over the years, and we have been right here through most of it.
