Priyadarshani High School

Our school sits on Survey No 45/2 in the Bhosari Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by small workshops and factories rather than houses or parks. It’s a bit of a grey area of Pune, but many workers living nearby send their children to us. The sound of machinery is just part of the background noise here. We have a decent-sized building with several floors. The stairs are narrow, and it can be a bit of a squeeze when classes change. We try to keep the courtyard tidy, though the dust from the surrounding industry always finds its way in. The teachers often have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the sounds from the street. During the rainy season, the roads around the industrial estate can get quite muddy, making the walk to school a bit of a mess for the kids. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and files. It’s usually cluttered with papers and registers. We aren't a big, wealthy school; we just provide a place for the kids in Bhosari to get their education. The classrooms have the usual benches and desks, some of which have been around for years. It’s a practical place, focused on the daily routine of lessons and exams without any extra fluff.
