Prestige Public School

Prestige Public School is located on NDA Road in the Shivane area, right on the way towards Khadakwasla. It is a nice part of Pune because you are close to the hills and the air feels a bit fresher than it does in the middle of the city. Our campus, known as Shastri Campus, sits on Survey No 85. It is a functional place with several blocks for different grades. We have a lot of students who come from the nearby residential colonies, so the morning drop-off is always a bit chaotic with rickshaws and cars. Inside, the classrooms are pretty standard—desks, chairs, and cupboards full of old folders and textbooks. We have a playground that gets a lot of use, and you can usually hear the PE teachers shouting instructions from across the field. The staff room is often a mess of half-graded papers and tea cups, which is just how we like it. It shows we are working. The weather here can get quite windy because of the open spaces nearby, so we are often closing windows to keep the papers from flying away. We don’t have a lot of corporate polish; we are just a group of teachers and administrators trying to keep a school running in a growing part of the city. It is a simple life, focused on the syllabus and making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be when the bell rings.
