We run Prakash Mandap And Decor out of our shop in Budhwar Peth. If you know where Shrikrushna Cinema is, we are right across from it at house number 313. This part of Pune is always crowded and the streets are quite narrow, but we have managed to work out of here for a long time. We handle the usual stuff like setting up mandaps for weddings and putting up basic decorations for local functions. We have a lot of bamboo poles, cloth drapes, and lights stored in our godown. It is a lot of heavy lifting and manual work. My team and I go out to different venues to set things up, then we come back and pack everything away. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk into the shop or call us because they saw our work at a neighbor's house. The shop itself is small and usually filled with samples of fabrics and some old photos of stages we built. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic during the wedding season, and we are constantly moving from one place to another. We try to stick to the schedules people give us, though traffic in this area can be a real headache. It is just a regular local business helping out with community events. We don't use any fancy design software; we just talk to the family and figure out what they need for their event. It is honest work and keeps us busy all year round.
