Pooja Wefers Farsan

If you walk down near Govind Halwai Chowk in Raviwar Peth, you will find Pooja Wefers Farsan at number 1319. The air around here usually smells like hot oil and spices. We spend our days frying batches of chips and mixing different kinds of farsan. It is a very busy area with a lot of people walking by every minute. Our shop is small, but we cram it full of transparent bags so everyone can see what is fresh. Sometimes the heat from the big pans makes it a bit uncomfortable, but that is the only way to get the crunch right. We use a lot of potatoes and gram flour. My hands are usually covered in some kind of seasoning by noon. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just fill the bags, tie them up, and put them on the counter. People stop in while they are doing their grocery shopping in the Peth area. They might want a half-kilo of something salty or just a small packet to eat while they walk. We have to keep an eye on the jars to make sure nothing runs out during the evening rush. It is a simple business based on making sure the snacks taste okay and aren't stale. The floor gets a bit oily and the noise from the street is always there, but we are used to it after all this time. We just keep frying and packing all day long.
