Pharmar Sweet Mart

Pharmar Sweet Mart is over in Bhosarigoan. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main city, but we still see plenty of people throughout the day. I usually start the day by wiping down the counters and checking the trays from the day before. We make everything right here. The morning light comes through the front window and hits the floor while I work on the first batch of the day. It’s a lot of boiling milk and stirring big pots for hours. Sometimes the smell of the sweets is so strong it stays on your clothes all evening. I don’t mind it much. People in Bhosarigoan are friendly, and we know most of our regulars by name. I've noticed that folks around here prefer the traditional stuff over anything new-fashioned. We don’t really do anything special for advertising. The shop is just a plain room with some shelves and a couple of stools for people to sit on if they’re waiting. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy decorations. We just focus on the food. Some days it’s just me and one other person working. We handle everything from the cooking to the cleaning and talking to the customers. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes in a small shop.
