Patharkar Traders

Patharkar Traders is located right in the middle of Khadki, at 15/1 Nava Bazar near Gandhi Chowk. It’s a busy area and we’ve been part of it for a long time. The shop is full of all sorts of things, mostly stuff that people need for their daily trade or home repairs. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes I forget what is at the very top. It’s a family-run place, so you’ll usually find one of us behind the counter. We don't do much in terms of decoration. The walls are a bit faded and there are stacks of registers everywhere. People come in asking for specific parts or materials, and we go digging through the back to find them. The market outside is always noisy with people shouting and horns honking. It’s a good spot because everyone passes by here. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or posters. If we have it, we sell it at a fair price. If we don't, we tell you where else to look. Sometimes we sit out front on wooden stools during the slow hours in the afternoon. It’s a simple way to make a living and we know almost everyone on the block. Khadki has changed a lot over the years, but our little shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know and serving the local crowd.
