Paras Khaja Mithai Kendra

Paras Khaja Mithai Kendra is tucked away at Kasba Peth 68 Hill Road 1. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty busy around here. We’ve been in this spot for years, and not much has changed inside. We still use the same old pans and recipes that have been around since the start. Khaja is what we do mostly, and it takes a lot of patience to get those layers right. You can’t rush it or the whole batch is ruined. I usually spend my afternoons sitting near the front, watching the traffic go by while the sugar syrup cools down. We get a lot of people stopping by on their way home from work. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit tight when there’s a line. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have worked together forever. Sometimes we bicker about how much cardamom to put in, but it always works out in the end. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy with the orders. It’s a local business, plain and simple. We don’t do any of that online stuff much, we just prefer people coming in and saying hello. It’s a bit noisy with the street sounds, but we’re used to it by now. Just doing our thing every day and keeping the trays full.
