Vishrantwadi 43 is where you can usually find us most days of the week. Our shop isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular place where we make and sell sweets to whoever walks by on their way home. We start the work early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because the milk has to be boiled and the mixtures need time to set properly. The kitchen area gets really warm, and there’s always a bit of steam in the air. We don’t have a big team or any fancy equipment, just the same pots and pans we’ve used for years. It’s a simple life, really. We spend our time behind the counter, chatting with the locals who come in for their daily fix of something sweet. Some people have been coming here since they were kids, and now they bring their own children along. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that; we just focus on making the food. The shelves are usually full by noon, and by the evening, most of it is gone. We sweep the floors, wipe down the glass counters, and get ready to do it all over again the next day. It’s quiet in the late evening once the shutters go down, and that’s when we finally get a chance to sit and rest for a bit before heading home. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a steady one.
