Om Sweets

Om Sweets is over here in the Santosh Nagar part of Katraj. We are situated in the Hanuman Complex right on the Katraj Lalbagh Road. It is a very busy intersection. The smell of the sweets usually fills the air around the shop, especially in the mornings when everything is fresh. We have the counters set up with all the different milk sweets and snacks. People coming from the Hosur Road often stop by because it is a convenient spot. The Hanuman Complex is an old building and everyone around here knows it. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases because of the dust from the road. The street noise is quite loud, especially with the buses going towards the city. We have a few regulars who come in every day for their favorite snacks. Sometimes it gets really crowded during the festivals and we barely have room to move behind the counter. The floors are stone and they stay cool, which is nice when it is hot outside. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just the shop name and the rows of food. It is a simple setup. Most of the time, we are just busy packing boxes or weighing out things for the customers. It’s a local spot and we like being part of the neighborhood here at S N 67-2. We have a couple of ceiling fans that help with the heat, but they are a bit noisy. Sometimes we run out of specific items by the evening because of the rush.
