Om Laxmi Sweet Home

We've been here in Chinchwad for quite a while now. Most people around here know where Om Laxmi Sweet Home is because we're right on the main street. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when the first batches of milk sweets are ready. We start early, usually before the sun is even up, to get everything sorted. Sometimes the floor is a bit sticky and the trays aren't perfectly aligned, but that's just how it goes when you're making things by hand all day. People come in for a quick snack or to pick up something for a family dinner. We don't have fancy decorations or big signs, just the glass counters filled with whatever we made that day. The fans hum in the background and there is always a bit of flour or sugar dust on the counter. It is a small space, so it gets crowded during festival times. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the milk is fresh. Some days we run out of things earlier than expected. If you walk past, you can usually smell the cardamom and ghee from the sidewalk. We know most of our regular customers by their faces, even if we don't always remember every name. It's just a simple shop where we do our work and go home. Nothing more to it than that. We just stay here in Chinchwad doing what we know how to do. It is a lot of standing and stirring, but it is what we do.
