Om Bikaner Sweets

You can find Om Bikaner Sweets over on Dr Dadasaheb Bhadkamkar Marg, at number 12 in the Sangavi area. It’s a long name for a street, but everyone just calls it the main road. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit now. The shop is small, but we make it work. Every morning, we start by checking the stock and seeing what needs to be made fresh. The smell of the kitchen usually starts drifting out onto the street by seven. Sangavi is a busy place, and there are always cars and bikes zooming past our front door. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so someone is always wiping down the counters. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to do our job at number 12. Some days are slow, especially when it rains, and we just sit and watch the water run down the street. Other days, we can’t keep up with the people coming in. We don't use any fancy talk to get people through the door. If you’re walking down Bhadkamkar Marg, you’ll see us. We have our regulars who come in every single day without fail. It's a simple life, making sweets and talking to the neighbors. We like it that way. It's just a normal part of the Sangavi community.
