This place is on the ground floor of Navdeepali Apartments in Shaniwar Peth. It’s a very old part of Pune, and things haven't changed much around here in years. Mandar Lodge is just nearby, so we get a lot of travelers who are staying there for a day or two. Being in an apartment building means we have to be mindful of the neighbors, but everyone knows us by now. The bar area is tucked away towards the back. It’s a bit dark in there, which is how our regulars like it after a long day of work. Shaniwar Peth is full of narrow lanes and old buildings, so finding a parking spot can be a real headache. Most people just walk over. We have a few tables out in the main area too. The furniture is the same stuff we’ve had for a long time—solid wood that’s seen a lot of use. We don't do anything special for holidays, just stay open and serve whoever walks in. Sometimes the plumbing acts up because the building is old, but we get it sorted. It feels like a neighborhood spot because it is. You won't find any fancy cocktails here, just the usual drinks and some snacks to go with them. It’s a quiet place mostly, except on Friday nights when it gets a bit louder with people talking and laughing over their drinks. We’ve got some old pictures on the walls that have been there since the beginning, mostly just landscapes that don't mean much, but they make the place feel lived in.
