Navrang Decorator

We are based out of Budhwar Peth, right by the City Post Chawk. It’s a busy area and our shop is full of all sorts of things for decorations. We have rolls of cloth, strings of lights that we’re always untangling, and wooden frames leaning against the back wall. Navrang Decorator has been around this part of Pune for a long time. We do setups for small festivals, weddings, and local shop openings. It’s a lot of physical labor, carrying poles and climbing ladders. My hands are usually stained with a bit of paint or dust from the fabric. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our work happens out on the streets or in people's houses. If you come to the Chawk, you'll see us loading the handcart or the tempo. It’s a noisy spot with all the mail trucks and traffic, but it’s a good location for us. My two sons help with the heavy work now. We don't use any fancy computer programs to design things. We just talk to the customer and draw it out on a piece of paper. Sometimes we run late if the traffic is bad, but we always get the job done before the guests arrive. It’s just honest work with our hands and a lot of patience with the tangled wires.
