National Sweets

You can find National Sweets over at Shop No 12 in the B G Corner building in Nigdi. It’s right there in the N S Palya area, which stays pretty busy throughout the day. We aren't a very large shop, just enough room for the counters and a few people to stand while they pick out what they want. We spend most of our mornings in the back room, preparing the batches of sweets. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and stirring over big pots, which can be exhausting. We don't use any fancy machines; most of it is done by hand just like it was done years ago. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, and the tiles are a bit worn down from all the feet walking over them, but we keep everything clean. We try to keep a good variety of items, though some things are definitely more popular than others. When the holidays come around, we barely have time to sleep because the demand is so high. We just do our best to keep up. It’s a local business through and through. We know most of our customers by name, and they know us. We aren't looking for awards or anything. We just want to provide something that people in Nigdi enjoy having on their tables during tea time or a celebration. It's just a regular shop doing regular work.
