Naivedyam Dining Hall

Up on the second floor of Rahul Complex on Paud Road, that’s where we are. It’s right near Jai Bhavani Nagar and Krishna Hospital, so there’s always people walking around or traffic humming on the road below. Getting to us means climbing some stairs, which some people don't like, but we've been here a good while now. The dining hall is quite large, which is good because we get some big groups sometimes. We don't have fancy lights or a theme. It’s just a big room with tables. We spend a lot of our time making sure the kitchen is stocked and the staff knows what they’re doing for the day. Kothrud is a busy part of Pune, and we feel like a small part of the daily grind here. Sometimes the elevator in the building doesn't work right, or it gets a bit hot if the power goes out, but we just carry on. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just provide meals. Most of our staff are local guys who have been with us through thick and thin. We have a routine that we stick to, and it seems to work for us and the people who come to eat. It’s just honest work, nothing more and nothing less. We’re just glad to be here at the Narhari crossing, doing what we've always done. It's a bit of a climb but we think the food makes it worth the effort.
