Moti Mahal Delux

Our place is at Shop 14 in City Point, over on Boat Club Road. This part of Pune, the 411001 area, is quite nice with all the trees and the old buildings. We are near Dhole Patil Road too. It’s a small shop compared to some others, but we have enough room for folks to sit down. The street outside is usually lined with cars. I like being in this part of town because it feels a bit more relaxed than the city center. We open up in the morning to get the prep done. My brother helps me with the accounts, though he’s usually late. The kitchen is where all the action is. You can hear the pans clanking from the seating area sometimes. We don't have any big mission or anything, we just sell food to anyone who walks in. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but for now, they are okay. We get a mix of students and families. On weekends, it gets a little more crowded than usual. We just try to keep the water glasses full and the food coming out hot. It’s just a regular restaurant on a regular street. Nothing much more to say about it. We’ve stayed in this spot because it feels like home now. People know where Shop 14 is and they come back for the same thing every time. It keeps us going through the long weeks.
