Mauli Snacks Center

We set up Mauli Snacks Center here in Kalewadi 1 to serve the local crowd in the neighborhood. It is a small shop, mostly just the front counter and the cooking area in the back. We don't have much space for sitting down, so most people just stand around on the street or take their food away with them. The stove is almost always on from the time we open. We go through a lot of cooking oil every single day. The walls have a bit of soot on them from all the frying, and it is really hard to scrub it off. We keep all our supplies in the small back room. It’s a bit cramped in there and we have to move boxes around to get to anything. We wake up early to get everything prepped before the first customers arrive at the door. Usually, that is the people going to their early morning shifts. The street outside is narrow and it can get blocked up if a big truck or car comes through. We just watch the world go by from behind our counter. Sometimes we run out of small change and have to ask the shop next door for some coins. It’s a friendly enough spot for everyone. We don't have any big flashy signs, just our name on the front. We do the same things every day and it works for us.
