Marigold Sweet Shop

Our shop is tucked into Shop No 15 inside the Business Guild Building on Erandwane Gale Mandi Road. It is a bit of a busy area with all the offices nearby, especially during the lunch hour or when people are heading home. We spend most of our mornings getting the trays ready and making sure the counters are wiped down. The smell of sugar and ghee usually fills up the space by ten o'clock. It is not a huge place, just a simple counter where we pack boxes for customers. Sometimes the line gets a bit long in the evenings, and we have to move fast to keep up. We try to keep everything tidy, but when it’s festival time, things get a little chaotic with crates piled up in the corners. The Business Guild Building is easy enough to find if you know this part of Erandwane. We see the same faces every day, people stopping by for a quick snack or something to take back to their families. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we are here on Gale Mandi Road. It’s just us doing our daily work, making sweets and talking to the regulars who come in. The fans are always running to keep the heat down from the kitchen in the back. It is a simple life here at Marigold Sweet Shop, just serving the neighborhood as best as we can.
