Mantisori Public School

You can find Mantisori Public School at Row House No 9 in Empire Estate, right near Chinchwad Station. This is a very central location in Chinchwad, and the Empire Estate society is quite well-known around here. Because we are in a row house, the school has a very cozy, almost home-like feel to it. Being so close to the railway station means we can often hear the trains passing by, which the kids actually seem to enjoy. We have a few rooms set up as classrooms, and they are filled with the usual stuff like small chairs, tables, and colorful charts. It’s a public school that serves the families living in the estate and the surrounding neighborhoods. We don't have a massive field for sports, so we make do with the courtyard and the common areas of the society for a bit of fresh air. The teachers here are very practical and focus on the daily needs of the students. We have a routine that involves a lot of hands-on work, especially for the younger ones. The morning drop-off is usually quite quick as many parents just walk their kids over from their own houses in the estate. It’s a straightforward, local school without any big pretensions. We just show up every day, open the doors, and get to work with the children. Even when it gets a bit chaotic during the rainy season, we find ways to keep the kids engaged and dry.
