Mahalaxmi Lawn

This lawn is located over in Karve Nagar on the Station Road near Bandra West. It is right near the Rajaram Bridge, which is a landmark most people in the area know well. We have a lot of open space here, which is hard to find in this part of town. Most of the time, the place is used for weddings, family functions, or local community events. We spend a lot of time looking after the grass and making sure the fences are in good shape. When there isn't an event, it is actually quite quiet, but once a party starts, there are lights and music everywhere. We don't provide all the decorations ourselves; usually, people bring in their own decorators and caterers, but we provide the space and the basic facilities like the washrooms and a small area for the kitchen staff to work in. Cleaning up after a big wedding is probably the hardest part of the job. There is always trash and leftover decorations to clear before the next person arrives. The weather can be a problem too, especially during the rainy season when the ground gets muddy. We try to keep things level and drained, but it's a constant battle with the outdoors. It's a simple business of renting out a patch of land so people can celebrate their big moments without being cramped.
