Mahalaxmi Farsan & Wafers

Mahalaxmi Farsan & Wafers is a local shop on Shahaji Raje Marg in Pimpri, right near the Mamta area. We specialize in savory snacks, which are the kind of things people around here like to eat with their evening tea. We have big metal containers of different types of farsan and stacks of bags filled with potato wafers. Making the wafers is actually a pretty loud process because of the slicing machines and the deep frying, but it is just what we do every day. The shop itself is very plain, mostly just counters and some storage space for all the snacks we make. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks because we think the food is what really matters to people. We started this business because we knew how to make these snacks the right way. Pimpri is a busy mix of factories and houses, so we get all kinds of different customers coming in. Some just want a small packet for themselves, while others buy in bulk for a big party or a family event. We are just a small team of workers here. We don't have any grand plans to expand the business or anything like that. We just want to keep the fryers going and make sure our customers are happy enough to come back again next week. The street outside is usually crowded with people.
