Mahalaxmi Bhel Farsan

We are located at Sinhagad Road Nava Vadaj B/3/4. This is a simple shop where we spend most of our time packing farsan and mixing bhel for the local crowd. The smell of fried snacks is always around. We start early in the morning, getting the bags ready and making sure the counters are clean. Sinhagad Road is a busy place, so there is constant traffic noise outside our door. We have large glass jars filled with different kinds of sev and gathiya. People come in mostly in the evenings after they finish work. It gets quite crowded then. My brother and I manage the counter. We don’t have a big team or anything, just us doing the work every day. Sometimes we run out of certain items because the demand is high on weekends. The floor gets a bit messy with all the packing, but we sweep it whenever we get a quiet minute. We have been in this spot for some years now. It is a small shop, and we use every bit of space we have for storage. Customers know us by face. We don’t do any advertising, we just keep the doors open and serve whoever walks in. It’s a plain, honest business. We just focus on keeping the snacks fresh and getting the orders out fast so people don't have to wait too long on the sidewalk. That’s how we’ve always done it here in this little corner.
