Lakshmi Sweet Home

Lakshmi Sweet Home is located right in the heart of Dhanakawadi. We are a small local shop that focuses on making sweets and snacks that people here like to eat every day. It’s a family thing, really. We wake up very early to start boiling the milk and getting the sugar syrups ready because sweets take time to set properly. You can’t rush these things if you want them to turn out right. The shop smells like cardamom and fried dough most of the day, which isn't a bad way to spend your time. We have a glass counter where we put out everything fresh each morning. Some days are busier than others, especially when there’s a festival or a small celebration in someone’s house nearby. We see a lot of families coming in to pick up a box of something for their kids. Dhanakawadi is a nice place to be because everyone knows each other. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything like that. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure the snacks are crunchy and the sweets are fresh. There’s a lot of cleaning to do every night after we close, but it’s worth it to start fresh again the next day. It’s just us doing what we know how to do best in our little corner.
