If you ever find yourself walking around Yerwada Chitra Chowk or the Baji Mandai area, you might have seen our shop. We are located right at S No 10. Krushna Sweets is basically a family-run place that stays busy from early morning until quite late at night. The air around here usually smells like frying ghee or sugar syrup, depending on what we are making that hour. It’s a messy job, honestly. My apron usually has flour or some sticky bits on it by noon. We spend hours standing by the big iron pots, stirring things and making sure nothing burns. The market area is always crowded, so there is constant noise from the street and people shouting for their orders. We have been in this spot for years and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they could talk. We make a lot of traditional sweets that people buy for festivals or just when they want something small to eat on the way home. It’s not a fancy showroom. We have glass cases that get fingerprinted by kids almost as soon as we wipe them clean. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the recipes by heart now. We just try to keep the trays full and the stove hot. That’s how life goes here every single day for all of us.
