Kohinoor American School

Kohinoor American School is tucked away on the Old Mumbai Pune Highway in Khandala. Since we are up here in the 410301 area, the weather is quite a bit different than what you find down in the city. We get a lot of fog and heavy rain sometimes, which just becomes another part of the daily routine for us. The school sits right on the highway, so we see a lot of people traveling back and forth between Mumbai and Pune. It is a very well-known route for anyone in this part of the country. We are not a big corporate office; we are just a school nestled in the hills. Most of the staff here just focus on the day-to-day stuff that needs doing. We check the classrooms, make sure the dining area is ready for lunch, and walk the grounds to see if anything needs fixing after a storm. It is a lot of physical work and staying on top of the weekly schedules. We do not use polished language or try to sell you on anything. We are just here, doing what we do every week. The building has been here for a while and it fits into the landscape well. Sometimes the monkeys around here cause a bit of trouble with the bins, but that is just life in Khandala. This is just an honest look at where we are and what it is like. We open the doors and keep going.
