Camp 6 is where we set up our little dessert shop. It’s not a very big place but we make it work with what we have. Most of our day is spent around sugar and flour and the smell of things baking. We make cakes and puddings and other sweet things that people like to eat when they’re having a bad day or celebrating something small. It gets a bit messy in the kitchen especially when we are trying to get several orders done at once. We don't have any fancy training. We just learned by doing it over and over again until it tasted right. The shop has a few tables but most people just take their treats to go. We have a small window where you can see what’s fresh for the day. Sometimes we try new recipes and they don't always work out but that’s just part of the process for us. We’ve had some regulars since the day we opened and they always tell us what they think about the food. It’s a bit of a loud area around here in Camp 6 but inside it smells pretty good. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just hope that if someone likes a cupcake they might tell their neighbor. It’s a simple business and we like the people who come through the door. We just keep the ovens going and try to stay busy every single day we are open.
