Khyber Restaurant & Bar

Our place is located on Jangali Maharaj Road, which everyone in Pune just calls JM Road. We are in the Deccan Gymkhana area, right across from where the Dena Bank used to be. It’s a very busy part of the city, with lots of shoppers and college students walking around all day long. We have a restaurant and a bar, so it’s a mix of different people. Some people come in for a quick lunch while they are out shopping, and others stay longer in the evening for a few drinks. The atmosphere changes depending on what time it is. In the afternoon, it’s mostly about the food, but once the sun goes down, the bar side gets more active. We have a lot of tables, but on weekend nights, it still gets pretty full. The noise of the traffic on JM Road is always there in the background, but we are used to it by now. We don't have any fancy decorations or a complicated theme. It’s just a standard Pune spot where you can get a meal and a beer without any trouble. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been working here for a while. We just try to keep the place running smoothly and make sure everyone gets what they ordered. It’s a lively spot in a lively part of Pune. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on this road, but we just keep doing our thing every day.
