This place is tucked away in the Bhosari area, specifically inside the Annapurna Industrial Estate. If you look for Saraswati Niwas on Tilak Road, that's where you will find me, Vishal Dattatray Khangate. I’ve spent a lot of my years right here in this corner of the estate. It's an active neighborhood with plenty of small businesses doing their own thing. My workshop isn't anything special to look at, just four walls and the machinery we use every day. We usually start early because the afternoon heat in Bhosari can get a bit much. The floors are usually covered in some bit of scrap or oil, but we clean up when we can. Most of our neighbors are also in the industrial line, so there's always the sound of metal or engines in the background. It’s a tight community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. I spend most of my day making sure everything is running okay and talking to people who drop by with work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside on the steps of Saraswati Niwas until it comes back. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk in the corner for the accounts. It’s a simple life here on Tilak Road, just keeping the work moving and making sure we stay busy enough to keep the lights on.
