Kalavish Snack Centre

You can find Kalavish Snack Centre right on Tilak Road, which is part of National Highway No 8. Being on a highway means we see a lot of people just passing through on their way to somewhere else. It is a busy spot. The noise from the trucks and cars is constant, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We keep the snack centre running mostly for the hungry travelers and the locals who live near Tilak Road. It is not a sit-down restaurant with white cloths; it is just a place to grab something and go. We have a small kitchen area where we get everything ready. It gets hot in there, especially in the summer months. We don't have a big menu because we prefer to keep things manageable. Some days are faster than others. When the highway is backed up, we get a lot more people stopping in. We handle the cooking, the cleaning, and the money ourselves. It is a basic operation. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or goals. We just want to make sure the food is ready when someone asks for it. It is hard work being on your feet all day by the highway, but it keeps us busy. We’ve been at this location for a while and know the regulars well. We stay open late most nights to catch the travelers passing through.
