Our place is at 308 Vadgaon Budruk, right on Parsi Panchayat Road inside the Senior Estate. Most mornings start with the sound of traffic picking up outside. It’s not a fancy building, just a solid spot where we get things done every day. Sinhsed Dershan is right nearby, so we see a lot of the same faces walking past our windows when they go for their morning rounds. I’ve been working out of this space for a while now. The walls are a bit plain, but they do the job. We have a couple of desks and some old chairs that have seen better days. It gets a bit dusty because of the road, so there is always a bit of cleaning to do before we can really start. The light comes in through the side window in the afternoon, which makes it quite warm. We usually keep the fan on high most of the time. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we get our daily cups. It’s a quiet routine, really. People stop by when they need something, and we talk for a bit. It is mostly just about staying on top of the paperwork and making sure everything is in its right place. It feels like a part of the neighborhood now. You get used to the rhythm of the street and the way the sun hits the pavement in the evenings.
