Jay Ambe International School

If you have ever been up to Lonavala, you know how it gets when the clouds come down low, especially around Khondgewadi. That is where Jay Ambe International School is, right at House No 467 in the Rye View Cottages area. It is a bit of a different spot for a school, being tucked away near those cottages, but it works for us. We have the pincode 410401 on our mail, though most people just look for the familiar turn-off. The air up here is usually a bit cooler than down in the plains, which makes the walk to the school gate a bit nicer for the kids. We started this place because there was a need for something local that didn't require a massive commute. The building itself is simple, nothing too flashy, just enough rooms and space for everyone to get their lessons done. Sometimes the monkeys from the hills come by and hang out on the roof, which can be a bit of a distraction, but that’s just life in Lonavala for you. We don't really bother with big speeches or glossy brochures. We just open the doors every morning and get to work. It’s been a few years now at this Khondgewadi location, and the neighbors know us well. It is just a regular school where we try to keep things practical and honest for the families around here. We just take it day by day.
