Jai Balaji Namkeen

My family has been running Jai Balaji Namkeen for quite some time now over at Ganesh Peth 775. It’s just a normal shop where we make various snacks that people around here like to eat with their tea. We start pretty early because the frying takes a while and the smells go all down the street. It can get a bit loud with the machines and people coming in, but that’s how it is in this part of town. We don’t have fancy packaging or anything like that. We just put the namkeen in clear bags and tie them up. Sometimes the floor is a bit dusty from the flour, and the counter might have a few oil spots, but we keep the food clean. It’s mostly just us working here, making sure the jars are full for the evening rush when people are heading home from work. People stop by, grab a half-kilo of something spicy, and maybe chat for a minute if it’s not too busy. Ganesh Peth is a crowded area, so parking is always a mess, but folks still find their way to us. We don’t do much advertising; mostly it’s just people seeing the sign or hearing from their neighbors. If you’re looking for something specific, you might have to ask because we change what we make based on what ingredients we got that week. It’s a simple life running a snack shop and keeping the local residents fed.
