Jagdamba Sweets

We are located in Pimpri at the Monika Apartments on Tapovan Mandir Road. It’s a small place but we’ve been here for a while now. The morning usually starts early for us because we have to get the sweets ready before the neighbors start waking up. We get the milk delivered around five in the morning. My cousin helps me out with the frying and the cleaning. It’s not a very big shop, just a few counters and some shelves for the boxes. Most of the people who come here live in the apartments upstairs or are just walking down the road to the temple. We see a lot of the same people every day. It’s a nice enough spot, though it gets a bit cramped when it rains and everyone tries to crowd inside. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights. Just a regular counter where we pack the sweets. Sometimes we make extra snacks like samosas in the afternoon if we have the time. Pimpri is a busy area so there is always noise from the street. We just try to keep things clean and serve whoever walks in. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We usually close up once the sun goes down and we’ve tidied the trays for the next morning. It is a simple life and we like the people who live around Monika Apartments.
