Gurukul Boarding School

Lonavala is known for its weather, and Gurukul Boarding School is right in the middle of it. Being at 410403, we get a lot of mist and rain for a good part of the year. The school is a bit different because the kids stay here with us. It’s not just a daytime thing. We have dormitories where the students sleep and a big dining hall where everyone eats together. The mornings start pretty early here, often when it’s still foggy outside. You’ll see the kids heading to the main building in their sweaters. Our campus has a lot of trees and some open ground, which is nice compared to city schools. The teachers live on-site too, so we’re always around. It’s a lot of responsibility keeping an eye on everyone twenty-four hours a day. The mess food is okay, mostly just basic dal and rice, though the kids always complain about it. The buildings are solid but they feel the dampness of the Lonavala weather. We have a routine that we stick to, from morning exercise to lights out at night. It’s a bit of a quiet life up here, away from the noise of Mumbai or Pune. We just focus on keeping the kids busy with their studies and their sports. It’s a simple, rugged kind of place. The evenings are usually quiet once everyone is back in their rooms for study time.
