Gire Bhelwale Mandal

Our place, Gire Bhelwale Mandal, is tucked away near Goti Ram Bhaiya Chowk on Shivaji Road. It is a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about in Shukrawar Peth. We have got another bit of space over at Somatna Talewgaon and Gate No 201 as well. It is mostly about the snacks here. We spend a lot of our time prepping everything, chopping up onions, mixing the spices, and making sure the puffed rice stays fresh. It is a family-style thing, really. We are not some big chain with fancy uniforms or anything like that. It is just us behind the counter. Some days it is very hectic, and we are rushing to serve everyone who stops by after their work is done. Other times, it is quieter and we just chat with the regulars who have been coming to see us for years. We have been at this for a long time, starting from a small setup and just keeping it going as best as we can. The address sounds a bit complicated with all the survey numbers and landmarks, but once you are at the chowk, you can usually find us pretty easily. We do not have a big fancy menu, just the usual stuff people like to eat when they want a quick bite. It is a lot of work, standing on your feet all day, but it is what we do.
