Gautam Sweet Mart

Gautam Sweet Mart is right in the middle of things at Swargate. If you've been to Swargate, you know how busy it gets with the buses and all the people moving around constantly. Our shop is just there in the mix of it all. We don’t have a lot of space inside, but we make use of what we have. It’s a bit noisy because of the location near the main transport area, but we don't mind it anymore. We are used to the constant sound of the city. We wake up, open the shop, and start our daily routine. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around. We don't have any fancy mission statements or goals. We just want to keep the shop going for another day. Sometimes we get tired, but that's just part of the job we chose. We’ve seen many shops come and go in Swargate, but we are still here. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s just a simple mart for local people. We keep the prices written on little scraps of paper sometimes when we forget things. It’s not very professional, but it works for us. We just keep doing what we know how to do. The days go by fast when it’s crowded with commuters. We just focus on the person standing in front of us and try to get the work done before we close up.
