We have been operating Ganesh Sweets on Pimpri Soukya Road for a while now. The shop is at Samethanahalli 59, which is a spot that gets a fair amount of foot traffic during the morning and evening hours. I usually get here early to help unload the milk and the big bags of sugar that we use for the day's work. The kitchen is in the back and it gets very hot once the stoves are going. I spend most of my time out front, arranging the different pieces in the glass display cases. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but you get into a groove after a few hours of doing it. The road outside can be quite dusty, so I’m always cleaning the counters with a damp cloth to keep things looking decent. People from the neighborhood stop in to grab something small on their way home from work. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything, just the usual shelves and a few pictures on the wall. Sometimes the scales act a bit finicky and I have to reset them. It’s just a normal part of the day. The smells of ghee and sugar are always around, even on my clothes when I go home at night. We just keep things simple and try to keep up with the people coming in. It’s a steady life here in Samethanahalli, nothing too fast or too slow, just the daily routine of the shop.
