Ganesh Sweet Mart

Ganesh Sweet Mart is located at Shop No 3 in Krishna Nagar, Sector No 20, right on the Vadsar Moti Bayan Road in Chinchwad. We have been frying up snacks and making fresh sweets since early in the morning every single day. The smell of hot ghee and sugar usually hits you before you even get through the front door. We are not a big fancy bakery; we are just a local sweet shop where we still do things the old-fashioned way. Our counters are always filled with trays of barfi, peda, and whatever seasonal snacks we happen to be making that week. During the big festival seasons, it gets absolutely crazy in here with people lining up out the door, and we barely have time to take a breath. We keep the shop layout very simple, focusing much more on the food itself than the decorations. My family helps out behind the counter, and we have gotten to know most of the people in the neighborhood by their first names over the years. We see the same kids coming in after school for a little treat. It is a lot of hard work standing on your feet all day near those hot stoves, but we really enjoy seeing people like what we make. We do not use any fancy packaging or big advertisements; we just put the sweets in a box and hand them over with a smile.
