Foodies Corner

Foodies Corner is located right at Sambhaji Chowk in Nigdi. If you know where the Cake & Cream Bakery is, we are just upstairs from them. Being in Jaya Nagar 4th Block, near the CME School, means we see a lot of students and families. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside. We liked the idea of being on the first floor because it gives a bit of a view of the chowk. The space is simple. We’ve got some chairs and tables set up for anyone who wants to sit for a bit. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but people don’t seem to mind. We handle everything from taking orders to cleaning the floors. It’s just a small team of us working here every day. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to catch up on prep work. When school lets out, it gets quite loud and busy for an hour or two. We’ve been here long enough that most people in Nigdi know where the bakery is, so they find us eventually. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just open up in the morning and close when the food is gone. It’s a practical way to run a business in this part of town. The stairs can be a bit steep, so we tell people to take their time coming up to see us.
