Subway Pune

We've been running this Subway spot out of Karvenagar for a bit now. It’s tucked away in Bhooshan Apartment, right at Flat No. 7. Most people in Pune know the brand, but we try to keep things quiet and steady here. It's not a massive fancy place, just a regular shop where we make sandwiches all day. The morning starts with baking bread, and that smell usually fills up the hallway. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and making sure the counters are clean. Dealing with the 11/2(P) location means we get a mix of students and office folks coming through. Sometimes the lunch rush gets a little hectic, and we're all running around trying to keep up with the orders. It’s just how it goes. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People find us when they're hungry. Working in a residential area like this has its own vibe. You get to know the neighbors. We’ve had the same staff for a while, so we kind of have a rhythm down. It’s hard work on your feet all day, but it’s decent. We try to get the orders right and keep the veggies fresh. If the bread is out of the oven, it's a good day. It’s just a sandwich shop at the end of the day, nothing too complicated about it. We’re just here in Pune doing our thing, making subs for whoever walks in. It's a living.
